Last Saturday, began the official start to our summer season. We marked this new beginning with an event in Fort Collins, the Fire Hydrant 5K, which is a fundraiser for Larimer Humane Society. My gosh, we had fun! We made lots of new friends, (both 4-legged and 2-legged), gave away a bunch of samples and had a chance to promote some of our new products. I think it is safe to say, we'll participate in this event every year we can!
Speaking of new products, we are happy to announce that we'll be selling two new flavors of our hand-rolled biscuits: Barkin' Bacon and Healthy Bites. We'll continue with our other 5 flavors: Pumpkin, Honey, Peanut Butter Oatmeal, Apple Cinnamon and Chicken throughout the year. All of these flavors are available on our website.
It's been a busy Spring for the Biscuit Barkery! We also, choose a new logo and worked with a marketing specialist to increase our presence in the pet treat scene.
In addition, we're very excited to announce that we'll be selling some pre-made dog treat mixes, for those of you that like to cook for your furry children. These will also be available through our website and include: Mutt Pancakes, Mutt Meatballs, Puptato Chips, Puppy Cakes and an award winning Carob Chip Cookie mix. (Pictures below).

Be sure to come visit us at the Drake Road Farmer's Market on Saturdays (10:00am to 1:00pm)

Healthy, Safe Treats for Your Dog- Free Offer!

3/31/2014

Necessity, being the mother of invention, prompted we three dog parents to begin baking and sharing all natural and safe dog treats.  With tail wagging votes of support, we launched our all natural biscuit baking business, The Biscuit Barkery of Northern Colorado in 2012.  Our all natural, handmade and oven baked biscuits come in five flavors - peanut butter oatmeal, chicken, apple cinnamon, gluten-free pumpkin and gluten-free honey.  In the next month we will “roll” out two new flavors: bacon and a grain-free fruit/oatmeal mixture.

As dog parents ourselves, we are excited to offer our natural treats to your dogs.  Our biscuits are available in half-pound bags and are available for purchase online at www.nocobarkery.com

We are so confident your dog will love our biscuits that we are giving away 10 free bags to fans of The Biscuit Barkery!  Simply use the "contact us" form on our website to enter the drawing. Please include the flavor and size of the treat you wish to try in the comment section. We will close the drawing on April 6, 2014 and contact our lucky winners at that time. Good luck!

Loveland Elks Charity Event

3/8/2014

Tonight is the ER Charity Ball at our local Loveland Elk's Club (located in downtown Loveland at 103 E. 4th St.). For only $15 per person you can have pulled pork, salads and dessert while dancing to the Darn Thirsty Cowboys! There will be a silent auction with all proceeds going towards funding their charitable requests throughout the year. This is our contribution, with a retail value of over $50, we hope it brings in some much needed money for the club's sponsorship of non-profits in our community.  Our basket includes: 2 pounds of yummy peanut butter oatmeal dog treats, a treat jar and a frame.

Bacon Anyone?

2/22/2014

Last week, we decided to experiment with a new recipe. As you can see, it will include bacon. Well, to be more exact, bacon fat. Our four-legged taste testers gave it a unanimous tails-up, "can't get enough", "where's the rest", positive vote. However, our two-legged, five year old kitchen helper, felt that it had too much flour and not enough actual bacon, so, back to the cutting board we will go. The next rendition of this recipe will include more actual bacon pieces and less bacon fat. Hopefully, this will be to everyone's liking. We'll let you know how it goes.
